Startup: Find your friends at concert, conferences, bars from your iPhone
iFob has released a Dodgeball-type application that you can install on your iPhone to alert you when other users of the iFob are in the area.
The system works by you installing the application on your jailbroken iPhone, creating a micro-profile and then setting it to one of 2 settings:
Lurk - only look for other people
Open - alert people when you are in the area
This software has some really cool implementations. Working for a music company, some immediate ideas come to mind about organizing meetups at concerts, conferences, and even at work.
I’m interested to see how their development comes along and think it would be great if Grooveshark can work with these guys or if we can build our own.
